How much does pressure washing cost by surface?
Driveways cost $100 to $400 in Ontario, decks $150 to $400, fences $150 to $350 and patios $100 to $250, per Get Blasted. Surface material drives the price because wood, stucco and stone need lower pressure and more time. Interlock costs 15% to 30% more than plain concrete because crews must protect the joint sand.
| Surface | Ontario (CAD, Get Blasted) | Toronto (CAD, My Property Care) | US (USD, Angi) |

Per square foot, My Property Care puts Toronto concrete at $0.15 to $0.30 and interlock at $0.25 to $0.50. A two-car concrete driveway of 400 to 500 square feet costs $150 to $220. Get Blasted's Ontario range is $0.25 to $0.55 per square foot, and a degreaser pre-treatment adds to the quote for oil stains.
Mould changes the job. HomeGuide says a driveway that must be hand-scrubbed with a bleach solution first costs $0.40 to $1.25 per square foot in the US, against $0.25 to $0.35 for a standard wash. If you plan to seal the driveway after cleaning, see our driveway sealing statistics for 2026 for sealer prices and timing.

A Toronto bungalow costs $250 to $380 to wash and a two-storey home $350 to $550, per My Property Care. Each storey adds ladder time and safety equipment. Angi's US ranges are $150 to $750 for one story, $400 to $1,400 for two and $700 to $1,800 for three.

Siding needs the right method more than the right price. My Property Care says siding should be soft washed, not blasted at high PSI. It warns that saving $100 to $200 by pressure washing siding can lead to $2,000 to $8,000 of damage. Angi says washing a 2,000 square foot house usually takes about two to four hours.
Washing often goes hand in hand with gutter work. Angi prices gutter exterior washing at $50 to $150 for a single-storey house, and a full clean-out is a separate job. Our gutter cleaning cost guide covers Ontario eavestrough prices.
How do visit minimums and bundles change the price?
Visit minimums set the floor for small jobs. My Property Care says most Toronto operators carry $200 to $300 minimums, so a 120 square foot walkway costs the full minimum. Bundling surfaces into one visit spreads that cost. A Toronto driveway, walkway and patio package runs $300 to $450.
- Driveway, walkway and patio: $300 to $450 as one Toronto package (My Property Care).
- Full exterior with siding: $500 to $900 or more for most Toronto homes (My Property Care).
- Heavy oil or salt buildup: more passes and pre-treatment raise the quote (Get Blasted; My Property Care).
- Hourly pricing: $50 to $160 an hour in the US, though most firms quote by area (HomeGuide).
- Sales tax: Ontario HST of 13% applies on top of quoted prices (My Property Care).
Timing affects availability more than price. Get Blasted says April to June is the busiest window in Ontario, and early fall is the other good window. Angi suggests booking in early spring or late fall, when prices might be lower.
Is it cheaper to pressure wash yourself?
DIY is cheaper in cash but carries damage and fall risk. Get Blasted says an Ontario rental runs $50 to $100 a day before cleaning solution. HomeGuide lists US rentals at $45 to $250 a day. Angi estimates that DIY saves an average of over $300, since labour is most of the bill.
The common DIY mistakes are etched concrete, stripped deck stain, lifted wood fibres and cracked vinyl, according to Get Blasted. Angi says a DIY wash of a 2,000 square foot house averages six to eight hours, and a pro gets it done quicker. Anything on a roof or a second storey is a job for an insured crew.
How do you get an accurate pressure washing quote?
Get at least three written quotes that name each surface, the method and a flat price. Angi recommends three quotes and a written estimate before you sign. Ask whether siding and roofs will be soft washed, whether interlock gets a rotary cleaner, and whether the crew carries liability insurance and WSIB coverage.
Tell each company the square footage, surface types and any oil, algae or rust. Get Blasted says a contractor who quotes without asking what your surfaces are made of is a warning sign. In Ontario, ask for the price before HST so you can compare like with like.
Pro House Maintenance matches you with vetted, licensed and insured pros who give free fixed-price estimates. Compare pressure washing quotes in Toronto, pressure washing in Ottawa or power washing in Gatineau, or request an estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to pressure wash a house in Ontario?
Get Blasted's 2026 Ontario guide puts a full house siding wash at $250 to $700. In Toronto, My Property Care says a two-storey home costs $350 to $550 and a bungalow $250 to $380, before 13% HST. Brick, stucco and painted wood sit at the high end because they need soft washing.
How much does it cost to pressure wash a driveway?
In Ontario, a single-car driveway costs $100 to $250 and a double driveway $200 to $400, per Get Blasted's 2026 guide. My Property Care puts a Toronto driveway at $149 to $249. In the US, Angi reports $100 to $250 on average, or about $0.20 to $0.40 per square foot.
What is the price per square foot for pressure washing?
Ontario driveways run about $0.25 to $0.55 per square foot, per Get Blasted. Toronto concrete runs $0.15 to $0.30 and interlock $0.25 to $0.50, per My Property Care. Angi's US range is $0.10 to $0.50 per square foot, and larger jobs cost less per foot because setup time is shared.
Why do pressure washing companies charge a minimum?
Every visit carries travel, fuel, insurance and setup costs, even for a short job. My Property Care says most Toronto operators carry $200 to $300 visit minimums, so a small walkway can cost the same as a driveway. Booking several surfaces in one visit spreads that minimum across more work.
Is it cheaper to rent a pressure washer?
Renting is cheaper in cash for small jobs. Get Blasted says an Ontario rental runs $50 to $100 a day before cleaning solution, and HomeGuide lists US rentals at $45 to $250 a day. The risk is damage from too much pressure on wood, vinyl or stucco, plus ladder work on second storeys.
How often should I pressure wash my house and driveway?
Once a year is the standard advice from both Get Blasted and Angi. In Ontario, spring is the busiest time, because Get Blasted says winter salt and grime are at their worst from April through June. Shaded homes or homes near water may need a second wash in early fall, since algae grows faster there.
